Greetings,

I wish to draw your attention to the recent events at CobraFanClub. First of all, our anniversary Art Jam will be posted very soon. I am completing the composition now. I commend all of you who participated this time around – especially since the whole event has been an unusually difficult one from beginning to end.

In addition to our Art Jam, I’ve initiated the first of our tributes for this year. Each tribute, as they are posted, will be active for at least one year. See our blog and participate if you are able.

Also, I wish to commend a very generous donor (who appears to have wishes to remain anonymous at this time) for contributing the points necessary to upgrade CobraFanClub once again to Super Group status. I commend you. If you wish to have your identity known, do not hesitate to tell me. I will make an official announcement to the group to reward your loyalty and generosity to COBRA.

For our high-command, officers and spies, I recently posted an agenda for the group detailing all of our current events and how to proceed in managing them. It is about time I delegated some of these tasks. I’m sure that my trusted personnel will be able to take care of things in a timely and organized manner.
I have plans for new events, some of which I detailed in that agenda. More details concerning them will be posted as I find the time.

As always, thank you all for your continuing support of COBRA!

Greetings,

Damn foreign affairs and politics have left me no free time as of late. However, things are cooling down at the moment and I will be able to renew my activity here at DeviantART and at CobraFanClub. While I organize my affairs with COBRA – and the rest of the world – bear with me.

Greetings to you in the new year 2014,

I shall update this in full detail later. Right now, I will at least give an overview as to why I was absent for so long without notice. That can be done in one word. War.

For the short story, COBRA is on the rebound, the enemy is in retreat, and I am once again finding some time to dedicate to my presence here.

I shall post a similar update to CobraFanClub soon.

Greetings,

Thanks to a deal I struck with Nala15, an associate and supporter of CobraFanClub, I have regained my membership subscription.

Prepare to see more updates from me before my month is up. By the way, I am looking forward to seeing the results of the most recent poll I posted.

Greetings,

Several of you may have been wondering why I haven't been active here as of late. That has changed for the time being and I am able to log in on a more regular basis. However, the last three months were extremely busy for me and COBRA.

As some of you may know, I usually take an extended leave of absence during the month of August or July. Circumstances being what they were, I wasn't able to take my full leave all at once this year, so had to spread it out over the course of both months. Why? Because I'm at war, that's why.

I was in the middle of my first week of leave when I received word that a recruitment center had been attacked and destroyed. Casualties were low, but there were casualties nonetheless. While I didn't personally lead the counter attack, I did plan it and dispensed the troops needed to rectify the situation. The attack was successful. After following up with the squadron responsible and signing the paperwork needed to replenish supplies and ammo, I returned to my leave. A few days later, I received word of another attack - this time in two locations.

To make my long story a more manageable size, this went on for nearly seven weeks straight. I hired Zartan to get to the heart of the matter, and he discovered not one, not two, but an entire network of spies that had somehow wormed their way into COBRA. To clarify, they weren't physically present in our bases and fortresses, but had hacked into our computer and security networks, betraying virtually our every move to the Joes.

I became aware of this only after I was personally caught in one of the attacks. It was an airstrike on one of our island facilities. Fortunately, I was testing Destro's new shielding technology at the time, so damages were minimal. This time, I personally led the counter attack and blew the Joes out of the sky. Much to my dismay, I discovered later (thanks to Zartan) that most of the casualties were drones.

After Zartan delivered his report, I made immediate preparations to dispose of the cyber-spies and the Joes drone program. It took two long weeks, but COBRA emerged victorious! G.I. Joe will now have to start from scratch with their spy network, and their UAV program.

I took the rest of my leave immediately after I heard the good news. Now, I'm improving and upgrading my own spy network, with the Baroness and Zartan at the helm. I will also say that the M.A.S.S. device may be involved....

For the time being, I will enjoy the quiet while it lasts.
